Mishima's largest event, featuring the parade of floats and the competition of the Shagiri, takes place at various locations throughout the city. On the main street, events like the Yoritomo flag-raising procession, the Nobori soldiers' parade, and the Mishima samba parade occur. Every year, a celebrity plays the role of Yoritomo. Additionally, there are a variety of events such as ladder riders, hand-held fireworks, and yabusame. The numerous food stalls also enhance the festive atmosphere.
