Colorful leaves adorning a magnificent waterfall

Tsubame Onsen

Mid-Oct~Late Oct

Tsubame Onsen is the highest hot spring resort at the foot of Mount Myoko. There is 'Kawara no Yu', built along a valley about a 15-minute walk from the hot spring town, and 'Kogane no Yu', named after the golden leaves that fall all over in autumn. The highlight is 'Sotaki', one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls located in the valley. The magnificent 80-meter drop waterfall is adorned with autumn leaves, offering a more beautiful landscape.
