Mikumanokami Shrine
The sight of the portable shrine proceeding majestically through the cherry blossom petals is a must-see!
Mikumanokami Shrine is said to have benefits for childbearing, safe delivery, and matchmaking. When the cherry blossoms in the shrine bloom, the highlight of the annual "Mikumanokami Grand Festival" is the dazzling procession of 13 portable shrines (neri) accompanying the portable shrine through a flurry of cherry blossoms. While the three days when the town is filled with festivities are definitely recommended, it is also an attractive cherry blossom viewing spot just to enjoy the flowers in everyday life!
