Let's catch insects

This event is recommended during the season when many insects are active. Participants can explore the park with staff from Kodomo no Kuni, searching for where and what kinds of insects can be found while trying to catch them. Since this is a time when heat stroke is likely, please prepare to stay hydrated and participate. Wear clothing suitable for outdoor activities (long pants), and bring a hat, shoes, an insect-catching net, an insect cage, insect repellent, a water bottle, a towel for wiping sweat, and pocket tissues. This is not a beetle-catching event.

Canceled in case of rain. Gather at 10:30 in front of the Visitor Center (across from the boat dock). Expected to disperse around 11:30 to 12:00.

Only the entrance fee is required. Entrance fee: Adults (high school students) 600 yen, elementary and junior high school students 200 yen, toddlers (from 3 years old) 100 yen.

About 8 km from the Tomei Expressway "Yokohama Aoba" IC or "Yokohama Machida" IC.

Approx. 2-minute walk from the Kodomo no Kuni Line "Kodomo no Kuni" station / Bus "Kodomo no Kuni" from Odakyu Line "Tsurukawa" station (Tsuruku 07 route).
