Aiko Sato, a writer who has received numerous literary awards, declared a writing halt and reduced human interactions, spending gloomy days after turning 90. Then, a mediocre middle-aged editor named Yoshikawa approaches her with a request to write an essay. The essay, articulating her anger towards the difficult world without holding back, unexpectedly receives great acclaim, and Aiko's life starts to change dramatically at the age of 90.
