Minamiizu Town Bamboo Shoot Picking

After registration at the bamboo shoot village, you can rent boots, gloves, and hoes (for a fee) to prepare for bamboo shoot picking. Head to the nearby mountain, and holding the hoe in one hand, look at the ground of the bamboo grove where you might see a slightly raised ground. Stepping on it feels like it's prickling. Bamboo shoot discovered! When you look at the tip of the bamboo shoot, it's bent, so carefully dig into the soil where it’s bent. When you get close to the base, insert the hoe and harvest.
