Kitsuki Tenjin Festival

A passionate festival led by the town of Kitsuki
A festival that has continued for 300 years. During the evening festival on July 24, dances and drums are offered, and in an effort to show the best performance for the gods, intense competition for the best spots takes place among dancers and drummers, demonstrating their passionate spirit for the festival. On the following day's grand festival, after the religious ceremony, a procession led by a spear heads towards the temporary shrine, featuring portable shrines, aragami (rough gods), poles, guns, lion figures, three sacred treasures, a procession of royal carriages, flower mountains, and decorated hills. The biggest attraction, "Mikami", features a dramatic clash of the floats!
