Autumn Workshop: Unique Lacquer Workshop

Let's create your own original lacquerware!
In this workshop, participants will learn about the properties of lacquer over the course of 7 sessions while creating a unique lacquered plate. The instructor is Tsuneo Omiya (lacquer artist). The first 20 minutes will be spent appreciating the permanent exhibition to deepen understanding of crafts. Enrollment period is from August 1 to August 24. Applications are accepted through the museum's website application form. The capacity is 10 general participants. If there are many applicants, a lottery will be held, and only the winners will be contacted.

- The event will be held on September 7, 14, 21, 28, and October 5, 12, 19 for a total of 7 sessions (all Sundays) (October 26 is a backup date). For the first session on September 6, gather at 1:40 PM.
