A vast park that served as the main venue for the Sapporo Olympics in 1972. In spring, more than 1,000 cherry trees planted in the park bloom beautifully. The Yae-zakura begin to bloom sequentially after the Ezo-yama cherry blossoms. Olympic Avenue is also called 'Sakura no Michi' (Cherry Blossom Path), making it perfect for a stroll in the pleasant spring climate.
