Ajimano, associated with Emperor Keitai, is also famous for its deep connections with the Manyoshu. In addition to the floral tribute statue of Emperor Keitai, you can learn about poems inscribed on stone monuments from the Manyoshu. Furthermore, some of the exchanged poems between the prominent Manyo poet Oda Tomo and Oda Ikeshun are set in Echizen City and Takefu. This has inspired the establishment of Echizen no Sato Ajimanoen. Within the garden, you can appreciate Manyo plants along with seasonal flowers, including cherry blossoms in spring.
