Awajima Shrine is a rare shrine in Japan that has a shrine built into a rocky outcrop protruding into the sea. It is also famous as a deity for matchmaking and safe childbirth. You can enjoy the sunset and fully bloomed cherry blossoms from an 8-meter high wooden observation deck.
