[Hydrangea Season] Shakuzan Bodaiji

A Tendai sect temple that exudes the atmosphere of a mountain castle covered with heavy stone walls. Although the number of hydrangeas blooming in the precincts is small, the contrast and competition between the "bright blue" flowers blooming in acidic soil and the "pink" flowers blooming in alkaline soil are magnificent. Reservations are required for viewing temple treasures.
