Kagoshima Modern Literature Museum Special Exhibition "Yanase Takashi Exhibition: Life is a Game of Joy"

A large-scale exhibition of Yanase Takashi, the creator of Anpanman. Having endured harsh war experiences, separation from family, and various encounters with people, Yanase continuously questioned himself, "Why was I born, and what should I do to live?" What he arrived at was the image of a hero who can give a piece of bread, "anpan," to those truly in need. This exhibition features around 200 original works, unraveling themes of "In-depth Analysis of Yanase Takashi," "Manga," "Poems," "Picture Books/Yanase's Fairy Tales," and "Anpanman."

Additionally, there is a shared parking lot with Kagoshima City Art Museum with 31 spaces (free, parking ticket required).

Access

Approximately 10 minutes from Kagoshima Chuo Station / About 15 minutes toward Kagoshima City from Kagoshima North IC.

Access (Public)

Take the City Tram Line 2 from Kagoshima Chuo Station to Kagoshima Ekimae and get off at "Asahi-dori," then walk for about 7 minutes.
