[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Weeping Cherry Tree at Kouenji

Kouenji is located on a small hill in the Ogaki Mountain village, where there is a "weeping cherry tree" to the right front of the precinct. The trunk is about 3 meters thick and more than 10 meters tall, drooping over 10 meters square into the street in front of the gate. This ancient tree, which is said to be over 350 years old and has a rare species, blooms brilliantly and fragrances the air during its flowering season. The blooming period is from late March to early April.
