[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Izu Matsuzaki Town

Famous spots for Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms are along the Naka River, at Oosawa Onsen, and along the Fujimi Sculpture Line. The 1,200 Somei Yoshino cherry trees planted along the 6km embankment of the Naka River reach their peak from late March to early April. Especially near the Naka Bypass, approximately 25,000 square meters of rice fields transform into beautiful flower fields. The combination of cherry blossoms and flower fields is breathtaking to behold.

Viewing the cherry blossoms is free. There is a cooperation fee for the flower fields (500 yen for 1-9 people, 1,000 yen for 10 people, plus 500 yen for every additional 10 people).

About 100 minutes via National Route 136 from Tomei Numazu IC

Access (Public)

45 minutes by Tokai Bus from Izu Kyuko Shimoda Station to Matsuzaki/Dogashima, get off at Oosawa Onsen Entrance or at the Youth Hostel stop.
