Zheng Chenggong Festival

Inspired by Zheng Chenggong from Hirado City, Nagasaki Prefecture, we have continuously engaged in exchange with Taiwan. The festival holds a pre-festival on July 13 and a birthday celebration on July 14. The pre-festival features a Kamaboko Festival being held simultaneously, with stage attractions along with local vendors setting up stalls for a fun festival. Local dishes will also be offered to visitors from Taiwan. The birthday celebration includes a religious ceremony to remember Zheng Chenggong's virtues. After the ceremony, the cultural performance ‘Jangara’ is dedicated.
