The crested serpent eagle, which inhabits only Iriomote Island and Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture, is a rare bird of prey designated as endangered IA, with only about 200 individuals currently remaining. One reason the crested serpent eagle is drawing attention is its behavior of "eating venomous invasive species." Until now, this mystery has not been scientifically researched in detail. Using the latest genetic analysis technology, we will introduce research that approaches this mystery.
