50th Joetsu Festival (Takada Gion Festival / Naoetsu Gion Festival)

The festivals are held in the Takada district and the Naoetsu district, connected by a single portable shrine. In the Takada district, events such as the pre-festival, mikoshi procession, celebratory fireworks, spectacular mikoshi entrance, grand folk dance parade, and mikoshi river crossing are held. In the Naoetsu district, events such as mikoshi river crossing, grand fireworks festival, mikoshi procession, grand folk dance parade, and offering of rice are held.
