[Swimming] Shimoaso Beach

Shimoaso Beach, selected as a "Special Selection" in the Ministry of the Environment's Best Swimming Beaches. Located in the central part of the Nichinan Coast National Park, it is one of the scenic spots where the largest island in the Nichinan Coast, Urashima, and a series of small islands can be seen directly in front of the beach. The clear sea and white sandy beach make it a beautiful swimming area called "Hyuga Matsushima", located at the northernmost point of Miyazaki Prefecture. It features the longest sandy beach and pine forests along the Nichinan Coast, and is adjacent to various facilities such as Roadside Station Kitakushirai, Hamakazura Village Park, campgrounds, and a natural salt factory.
