80th Anniversary Special Exhibition of the End of the Pacific War: MacArthur and the Dawn of Modern Japan

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, a special exhibition will be held to reflect on Japan's starting point through activities that took place during the occupation by GHQ and General MacArthur. Focusing on the five years immediately after the end of the war, which greatly influenced Japanese society and national life, carefully selected photographs, documents, and videos from the vast materials of the MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk, USA will be exhibited together. ■Notes Elementary school children are allowed to enter accompanied by guardians.

Admission fee for the exhibition: General 600 yen (500 yen in advance), Middle and high school students 300 yen (no advance sales), Free for elementary school children and under. Free admission for those presenting a disability certificate, child development support certificate, or Mirajiro ID. *Use of facilities other than the exhibition is free.

15 minutes from Miyazaki IC on the Miyazaki Expressway heading toward the city (north) / 20 minutes from Miyazaki Airport.

By train: Get off at JR Miyazaki Station and walk 15 minutes from the west exit / By bus: Get off at the Tachibana-dori 3-chome bus stop on Miyazaki Kotsu and you will be right there.
