Approximately 1,400 flammable films of Japanese cinema owned by the Library of Congress were repatriated from the first repatriation in 1967 to the fourth in the 1990s. Following the 'First Repatriation, Dramatic Film Edition' in 2023 and the 'First/Second Repatriation, Dramatic Film Edition' in 2024, this project centers on 31 works from 1937, when the film industry entered a state of alert, to the end of the Pacific War in 1944. This is the first time to collectively screen 'Second Repatriated Films'.
