Kaminarimon Bon Odori - Dream Lantern -

An event that has become a summer tradition. The entire tree-lined street in front of the Kaminarimon will serve as the venue, showcasing 21 'E-Dōrō' (lanterns) from Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, with which we have had exchanges from the beginning. The opening will feature a music performance by the 1st Music Group of the 1st Division of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (Note: Music performance will be canceled in case of light rain.). Other exhibits at the venue include vehicles from the Ministry of Defense Self-Defense Forces, PR booths for the fire department and police department, a PR booth for Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, and a PR booth for Nikaho City, Akita Prefecture. A lottery will also be held for those who shop at the shopping district.

Note

Lantern lighting from 17:00 to 20:00, lottery from noon to 20:00, Bon Odori from 17:30 to 20:00. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Band will perform from 16:20 to 16:40 (scheduled). Lantern lighting and the lottery will also take place on 9/5.
