Yokohama Kinema Club 84th Screening 'Sakura Squad Falls'

80th Anniversary Commemoration Screening
The 84th Yokohama Kinema Club screening will feature director Kaneto Shindo's work 'Sakura Squad Falls' as a commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the end of the war. This film depicts the footsteps of the 'Sakura Squad', a mobile theater group whose 9 actors and staff lost their lives due to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, through a dramatized re-enactment and testimonies from related parties. After the film screening, a lecture by the film's producer, Jiro Shindo, will take place. Additionally, there will be a sale of informational leaflets (500 yen) related to the Sakura Squad from the Mobile Theater Sakura Squad Peace Memorial Association. ■Notes For ticket purchase methods, please refer to the website.
