Ancient Hymns - Old Sacred Songs Played on Harp and Guitar

Diverse music from the world's oldest scores to the present
A duo concert featuring harp and guitar will be held in a traditional house in Kyoto. A combination of various sounds from a metal-string harp, an arched harp, classical guitar, and oud. The program offers a diversity of pieces from the ancient Hurrian hymn "Hymn to Nikkal," considered the world's oldest musical score, to the oldest Christian hymn "Hymn of Oxyrhynchus," Satie's Gymnopédies, and Theodorakis' "The Laughing Boy," among others. The venue will also sell the newly released CD 'Bunessan'.
