The Takayama Festival is a general term for the spring 'Sanno Festival' and the autumn 'Hachiman Festival.' The Spring Takayama Festival (Sanno Festival) is held every year on April 14 and 15. The festival features splendid and luxurious yatai parades, karakuri performances, the procession dressed in traditional costumes such as kabuki attire, and a night festival where yatai adorned with 100 lanterns each tour the town, creating a tapestry of history that is worth seeing at least once.

- In case of rain, the karakuri performance, procession, yatai parade, and night festival will be canceled. Additionally, there will be no postponement in case of cancellation. Even in rainy weather, depending on the conditions, it may be possible to see the yatai in a stored state in the yatai warehouse.
