The "Sakura Viewing Party," hosted by the Prime Minister, was held at Shinjuku Gyoen from 1952 until 2019. Due to suspicions of violation of laws such as the Public Office Election Act, Political Funds Control Act, and the Act on the Management of Official Documents, it was canceled in the second year of the Reiwa era. Since then, our gallery has started an exhibition under the same name, and this year in the seventh year of Reiwa, we will hold it for the fifth time. This exhibition aims for a "Cultural Cherry Blossom Viewing Party" and will present works that approach the colors, shapes, and words of the individual and collective petals of cherry blossoms that bloom in spring from various angles.
