Hitosubatago means 'one leaf of Tago'. It reaches its blooming period from late April to mid-May. The pure white flowers that seem to cover the tree like fallen snow create an incredibly stunning landscape. Its distribution in Japan is limited to Tsushima, parts of Gifu, Aichi, and Nagano, and the natural habitat of Hitosubatago in Kamato Town is designated as a natural monument.
