Hayasui Hinomi Shrine Fuji Festival

Enjoy spring under the wisteria trellis
The Hayasui Hinomi Shrine has been cherished for a long time as the symbol of Saganoseki, 'Kigan Gongen-sama'. It gathers the faith of many people involved in the sea as the god of maritime safety and breaking bad fortune. There are 7 to 8 clusters of wisteria on the shrine grounds, spreading their branches on the wisteria trellis. On the day of the festival, there will be a performance of 'Urayasu no Mai' by the shrine's priestess, and there will also be a tea ceremony under the wisteria trellis, offering sweets shaped like hanging wisteria crests.
