Special Exhibition "50th Anniversary of Nezumi-kun's Vest - Yoshio Nakae & Noriko Ueno: A Gift of Imagination"

In 1974, the picture book "Nezumi-kun's Vest" featuring the small protagonist Nezumi-kun in a red vest was published. The picture book, created by the collaborative work of author Yoshio Nakae and illustrator Noriko Ueno, gained attention for its monochrome illustrations drawn in pencil, minimal text, and beautiful composition that makes use of negative space. This exhibition brings together all works in the series, including the latest work, and exhibits about 200 pieces including original drawings and sketches from other works.
