Kutsukake Pass is located on the southern slope of Takamine Mountain at an elevation of 480m. It was once a narrow and winding path that was difficult for people and horses to traverse. The Yamazakura group at this pass begins to bloom around the time the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms have lost their leaves, adding color to the rural landscape in spring.
