Tenryu-ji, a prominent tourist spot in Kyoto located in Saga Arashiyama, is a Zen temple of the Rinzai sect and has been registered as a World Heritage site as part of the "Cultural Heritage of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto." From late March to mid-April, the cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino, Yamazakura, and Shidarezakura) bloom abundantly throughout the grounds, showcasing beautiful spring scenery.

About a 13-minute walk from the JR "Saga Arashiyama" station after getting off at the Keifuku Electric Railway "Arashiyama" station, and about a 15-minute walk from the Hankyu Railway "Arashiyama" station.

The event date is a guideline for the peak viewing season, which may vary depending on the climate and other factors. Visiting hours are from 8:30 to 17:00. Garden reception and North Gate reception until 16:50, various halls reception until 16:30, and Dharma Hall reception until 16:20.

Garden (Sōgen Pond and Hyakka-en): 500 yen for high school students and above, 300 yen for elementary and middle school students, free for preschool children. Various halls (Ouhōjō, Shoin, Tahōden): an additional 300 yen on top of the garden admission fee.

Passenger car: 1,000 yen per visit, bus: 1,000 yen for the first hour (then 500 yen for every additional 30 minutes), taxi: 500 yen for every 2 hours.
