Kawashimo Grand Festival

One of Tajima's three major festivals, 'Kawashimo Grand Festival'
The Kawashimo Festival is held at Uzuno Shrine during a three-day weekend that includes Marine Day every year. Its origins are believed to date back to the mid-Edo period, boasting a long history as one of the three major festivals in Tajima. The first day's evening festival features mobile stalls and performances, while the second day is the main festival. The parade includes the 'Togyo Procession' with portable shrines and halberds marching through the town, and at the 'Tabisho' set up at Hamasaka Citizen Sun Beach, the Kirin Lion Dance is performed. On the third day, after rituals such as 'Okama Kiyome' and 'Urayasu no Mai,' the floats march through the town again to Uzuno Shrine, concluding a series of events.
