Soichiro Takamatsu Ishii Baku AKITA Arts Festival - Asia Try AKITA Choukai Arts Festival 2025

An international dance festival that began in 2017 to commemorate the founder of Butoh, Takamatsu Soichiro, from Akita City. Over 100 artists from overseas, domestic, and local areas will present a diverse range of performances including Butoh, modern dance, folk dance, rap, street dance, and live music over two days. The vibrant venue lighting and artistic projection mapping surrounding the special outdoor stage in front of the Akita City Cultural Creation Hall are also notable highlights. ■ Notes Until last year, it was held at Choukai Park Honmaru, but this year it has been changed to the Cultural Creation Hall.
