Nishinomiya Festival

Once a year, the town of Nishinomiya becomes very lively
There is a record from the late Heian period that the portable shrine of Nishinomiya Shrine made a divine procession to Wada Misaki in Kobe. Although it was interrupted along the way, it is now held as the Nishinomiya Festival by the Nishinomiya Festival Council. On September 23rd, a fleet centered around a ceremonial boat carrying Ebisu-sama departs from the new Nishinomiya Yacht Harbor and makes its divine procession across the sea of Nishinomiya. Along the way, a 'Kazamat Festival' is held off the coast of Maezaki to pray for safety at sea. Additionally, a boat visiting the god of birth visits Wada Shrine and Miiseki Shrine, which are connected to Ebisu-sama, and the Yanagihara Ebisu Shrine in front of Hyogo Station.
