Kashibaya - The Day of Time Memorial

Demonstrations and explanations of incense clocks, stick clocks, and water clocks (clepsydras) used in ancient times will be held. There will also be exhibitions of hourglasses, sundials, and Showa-era pillar clocks. Additionally, there will be a corner where visitors can experience making a mold of an incense clock. A special workshop 'Let's Make a Handmade Clock' will be held on June 8 and 14 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Participants will create an original clock by attaching clock movements to photo frames. Limited to 5 people each day (first come, first served).

Approximately 5 minutes from the Fujieda Bypass 'Hirohata' IC / Approximately 5 minutes from the New Tomei Expressway 'Fujieda Okabe' IC

Access (Public)

Take a Chubu National Road Line bus from platform 2 at JR 'Fujieda' Station North Exit or from platform 7 at JR 'Shizuoka' Station North Exit, about 30 minutes, get off at Kashibaya in Okabe-juku.
