Asuke Summer Festival Fireworks Festival
Fireworks unfold right in front of you against the backdrop of the mountains of Asuke!
A fireworks festival held every year on August 14. The fireworks are launched from the Asuke Ground on a hill in town, and can be seen from anywhere in Asuke. They are especially well viewed from the riverside promenade and the bridges. On the day of the event, both the river lanterns and the street lanterns are lit, filling the town of Asuke with light and bustling with people. In the Asuke area, underground power lines and road improvements have been made, transforming the townscape into something more beautiful, allowing visitors to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District even more.
