Hijikata Tatsumi Ishii Baku AKITA Arts Festival - Kamaitachi no Sato Arts Festival 2025

Why not experience a fun different world in a quiet mountain village?
The 'Kamaitachi no Sato Arts Festival' began in 2016 to commemorate the opening of the 'Kamaitachi Museum', which houses the world-renowned photo collection 'Kamaitachi' taken by Hiroshi Hosoe, featuring Hijikata Tatsumi and the villagers. Since 2023, it has been held as part of the 'Hijikata Tatsumi, Ishii Baku AKITA Arts Festival'. In addition to a variety of attractive performances such as folk arts, modern dance, butoh, chorus, lectures, and jazz live, this year the hasakake workshop will resume. Experience a different world in a quiet mountain village. ■Notes Transportation will be provided to JR Yuzawa Station on the day of the event. For those wishing to stay overnight, accommodations such as nearby inns and hot springs will be introduced.
