Enjoy mountain cycling while gazing at the Satoyama
Let’s fully enjoy cycling while experiencing nature and the warm hospitality from the region with the terraced rice fields of the riverbank plateau. This is an "Art Tour by Bicycle" where moving itself is the theme of the artwork (planned and proposed by architect Yoshirou Ito in 2006), while enjoying the beautiful Satoyama scenery and artwork from the Art Festival of the Earth. On May 29, 2024, Tour de Tsumari received the first award for the "Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism - Achievers in Promoting Bicycle Utilization" in Niigata Prefecture.
