46th Salt Road Festival (Otari Village)

Let's walk in the old travel style – taking the ancient salt road in full bloom of spring
The 'Salt Road' was a route that transported salt and seafood from the Sea of Japan to Shinshu. The festival takes place on the 'Chikuni Crossing Course' where stone Buddha statues and historic sites remain. The approximately 9 km journey offers a rich ambience as you walk through the satoyama with the Northern Alps in the distance. Various events such as street market and local folk performances will be held.
