Toyohashi Gion Festival Fireworks Display

The festival of the birthplace of hand-held fireworks.
The Toyohashi Gion Festival takes place from July 18th to 20th, featuring a fireworks display on the night of the 19th (Saturday) with approximately 12,000 fireworks launched. The variety of fireworks includes launching, shells, river hand-held fireworks, goldfish and silverfish fireworks, star mines, and more, creating a grand display that fills the venue with excitement. Every year, many people gather at the launch site along the Toyokawa riverbank to enjoy one of the quintessential summer nights of Toyohashi.
