Conductor Kazuki Yamada with the Birmingham City Orchestra, Piano: Yunchan Lim

The prestigious British orchestra, with over 100 years of history, is making its long-awaited visit with music director Kazuki Yamada. The featured soloist is the young genius Yunchan Lim, who won the 16th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition at the age of 18 in 2022. The "Piano Concerto No. 4" to be performed this time is a masterpiece composed after Rachmaninoff left Russia, notable for its beautiful melodies that evoke a sense of sorrow amidst its complex structure.
