[Cherry Blossom Viewing] Omachi Nishi Elementary School

The cherry blossoms were planted by the locals to commemorate the relocation of the elementary school to its current location in 1930. The cherry blossom tunnel that continues beyond the main gate and the rows of cherry trees blooming around the playground are splendid. The backdrop includes the Northern Alps, such as Mount Renge. Every year, the sight of children enjoying special lunch during cherry blossom viewing is a unique feature of this elementary school. *Cooperation is requested to generally avoid entering the school premises.
