Miyajima Candle Festival, Vandenkai
In memory and prayer for world peace
"Miyajima Candle Festival," where candles and lanterns, which are offerings, are lit in the precincts of Daisho-in, and a mini concert is held to pray for world peace. Upon passing through the mountain gate of Daisho-in, there are 98 stone steps, where candles are also lit, enveloping the surroundings in a fantastical beauty.
