Enjoy cherry blossom viewing while walking through history.
Senzokuike Park has a large freshwater pond, fed primarily by groundwater from Shimizukubo in Kitachinbo, making it one of the largest in Tokyo. It still retains the scenic beauty depicted in the Edo period works of Utagawa Hiroshige such as 'One Hundred Famous Views of Edo' and 'Chinbo's Pond with Kesa-kake Pine'. In addition to Iketsuki Bridge and the Aquatic Plant Garden, there are historical sites like the graves of Katsu Kaishu and his wife, the monument to Saigo Takamori, the plaque for Tokutomi Sohō, and the statue of the famous horse Iketsuki. In spring, we recommend enjoying cherry blossom viewing while strolling through the park or taking a boat out on the water.
