Shuji Terayama (1935-1983) won the newcomer award at the 'Chekhov Festival' in 1954 when he was 18 years old, which led to his debut in the literary world. He was a multi-creator who showcased his talents in various genres such as haiku, poetry, theater, and film. Poet Kōjin Sasa will explain the world of Terayama's tanka. Sasa will also talk about his own works, which he began writing after being inspired by Terayama's tanka.
