Katsuoji Temple Rhododendron Festival

Large flowers of Western Rhododendrons and Yakushima Rhododendrons are planted throughout the temple grounds. There are many varieties of Western Rhododendrons, such as Cynthia, Vulcan, and Taurus, allowing visitors to enjoy rhododendrons with different characteristics.

Closed at 18:00 on Saturdays and at 17:00 on Sundays and public holidays (last admission is 30 minutes before closing) *The best viewing period for rhododendrons is usually from late April to the end of May

Regular car 500 yen for the first hour, 300 yen for each additional hour. *Parking reservation system is planned (please refer to the official website for details)

About 22 minutes from Meishin Expressway 'Ibaraki' IC via National Route 171, turn right at 'Shimizu' intersection
