Miwa Toyama Exhibition

Organic and mysterious shapes that resemble both plants and animals. Moving the brush freely with ink, I engage my imagination from the shapes, colors, and textures that result from the brush marks, creating new forms. I also use the forms that emerge as clues. In previous works, I used to draw shapes with a pencil after working with ink, combining both mediums; however, this time I am using only ink. I am exploring shapes that have my own sense of reality from the various expressions of ink.
