Exploring Modern Okinawa through Lacquerware
At the Urasoe City Art Museum, the first phase of the permanent exhibition for fiscal year 7 will be held with two themes: "80 Years After the War: Lacquerware from Pre and Post Okinawa War" and "New Acquisitions Exhibition for Fiscal Year 6." Among these, a lecture related to pre and post-war lacquerware, titled "Modern Okinawa's Lacquerware," will take place. The lecturer will be Ms. Aki Okamoto, a curator of the museum. Let's learn about Okinawa's journey alongside Japan through lacquerware. *Capacity is 40 people (first-come-first-served), registration is available by phone or at the reception. ■Notes For those who wish to have sign language interpretation, please apply to the museum (reception, email, phone) by July 15.
