The Largest Waraji in Japan
The Fukushima Waraji Festival, recognized as the 'local festival' of Fukushima City, began in 1970 and this year marks its 56th installment. The festival features the largest waraji in Japan, measuring 12 meters, along with numerous dancers and creative waraji accompanied by vibrant parades. On 8/1 and 8/2, there will be a waraji parade and waraji dance, and on 8/3, the large waraji will be dedicated at Haguro Shrine.
