Image and Illusion – From the Taguchi Collection

The relationship between painted images and illusions
Entering the 20th century, the perspective which had been an obvious premise for Western painting was re-evaluated, and the nature of painting as an illusion reflecting reality was questioned. This exhibition explores the relationship between the painted images and illusions, centered on the Taguchi Collection donated to the Gifu Prefectural Museum of Art by the Taguchi Fukujukai Foundation.
